Warning: Global Warming!!

EA1006 Earth, Environment & Society lecture today was marvellous. We had to watch a 2-hour DVD on global warming, "An Inconvenient Truth", starring AL-GORE !! (i never thought that he's an environmentalist!)

Highly recommended!! Don't worry, it fits common people, not much geological/geographical jargons used.

I went immediately to the library and got hold on the book of the same topic, written by Al-Gore himself.

Loya

I've just read Utusan Malaysia this afternoon and came across 2 stupid news reports.

News report one

News report two

News Report One commentary...

Nordin Ahmad, ex-Gen Sec of PKR urged voters in Ijok to vote for BN's candidate, saying that PKR's candidate, Dato' Khalid Ibrahim is:
- doesn't know anything about politics
- doesn't understand the true meaning of PKR's movement and ambition
- new to PKR and is not mature enough
He also claimed that:
- he's had enough of all the lyings and oppresions of the PKR leaders towards its members
- there were a few PKR teenagers acted 'samseng' towards UMNO teenagers, hence labelling PKR as a 'Parti Samseng'.

Melayu melayu.....

- does Nordin Ahmad knows everything about politics? does anyone knows everything about politics? stupid argument. LOYA
- does Nordin Ahmad knows the true meaning of PKR's movement and ambition? Go ahead and have a debate with Anwar with your facts and figures! CHEAP
- does that mean that Nordin Ahmad an experienced member of PKR, after having the chance, once, to be the Gen Sec of PKR? OPEN DISCUSSION
- does that mean that other political parties are clean and free from lies and oppresions? Name me one party that is free from all those criterias + corruption please! GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT
- alahai Nordin, Nordin..... what a low-level argument! highly invalid. How do you, then, explain this? IMMATURE

News Report Two commentary...

- with all respect to laws governing our country, i agree that action needs to be taken to the Ustaz.
- HOWEVER, don't just act blindly, Mr Government.
- why is the school deprived from financial help? CHECK
- what have our Education Ministry doing all these while? (coming to the UK and enjoy Nott's Games?!) DOUBLE CHECK

For the love of my country, Malaysia!

*Note: Rakan2 yg dihormati sekalian, fikir, fikir, fikir dan terus fikir! Janganlah lelap dibuai permainan indah dunia. Belajar kat universiti bukan utk dapat duit scholar dan travel semata-mata. Kita agen perencana agenda masyarakat. Sayangi semua, sebab tu kena tegur. Bukan sebab marah, tapi sebab sayang.....

Well done

Ke Arah Melayu Global, Bukan Melayu Glokal (gambar ada kaitan dengan yang hidup dan yang mati)

Well done to my friends whom had successfully organised the Project Amanat Negara IV.

The success stories of the event can be read here and here.

Congratulations to Abg Wan for successfully forming the International Advisory Board of the Malaysia Think Tank London.

Big

It has been a habit of mine, starting about a few weeks back, to start my day (after coming home from work @ 8am) by hearing audio @ watching video lectures. Ahmadinejad, Anwar Ibrahim, Hamza Yusuf to name a few. 15 minutes to 2 hours every morning is enough to provide the drive to work throughout the day.

Made contacts with several Cardiff, local top guns.

Think BIG!
Lebih suka banyak bekerja & kurang bercakap (unless deemed important)

Playing with the big boys now.

Segala kekuatan hanya dari Allah.

Prihatin

Keadaan sekeliling memaksa diri untuk berubah.

Diri yang semakin dewasa, pemikiran yang semakin matang, ilmu yang semakin bertambah.

Cukuplah dengan bersenang-lenang di takuk yang lama. Mula keluar dari zon keselesaan.

Mulakan dengan diri.

Kalau dikenang masa silam, pelbagai kejayaan diraih, namun cabaran dimasa hadapan tidak semudah dahulu......... Mari sahabat kita mengorak langkah memperbaiki diri

1- Puasa sunat isnin & khamis
2- Solat taubat sebelum tidur
3- Solat tahajjud sebelum subuh

Perbualan

Aku terima sebuah panggilan daripada seorang sahabat yang sangat aku hormati tengah malam tadi. Banyak benda yang kitorg borak.

Kau ajar aku banyak benda, dari dulu sampai skarang. Aku tak tau kau singgah blog aku ke tak, tapi aku just nak cakap yg aku sayang dan hargai kau macam aku sayang & hargai adik beradik aku sendiri, malah kadang-kadang, honestly, lebih dari tu.

Thanks for your thoughts, guidance & advice.

Borak punya borak......dekat 2 jam. Gayut?! Pillow talk?! ntah...

Revolutional Trip

Arran Residential Fieldtrip 2007 (24-31 August 2007)
Isle of Arran, Scotland.

A great experience, of style & quality programmes organised throughout the week. Few things that i learnt:
1. Try to understand other's culture, otherwise you could be misunderstood
(i showed 'em a peace sign, but they told me that the sign meant something else!)
2. Bring only necessary items. Travel light.
(need loads of 'pensel kayu', colour pencil. T-shirts? a few, recycle)
3. Ask questions as specific as possible.
4. Appreciate everyone individually
5. 3 counts on small-scale work, 1 count on d bigger picture
(to ensure that we're on track)

a lot of 'em.
A new self-revolution has started. Uniformitarianism (adapted by James Hutton's idea on the Earth's tectonic activity)

Cruising on one posh ship!
With Prof Paul Pearson, an expert in Paleoclimate, one of the best in the UK
Such scenic view (ice cold water!)
Taking 'Dip & Strike', our usual routine
Some fossils huh?
I just love this picture. Trying to look at the hill's geology on Hutton's view
Collecting information on top of the hill
Lunch break: A pack of Walkers, a chocolate snack bar, sandwich, an apple & plain water.
Mospy, one nice Nigerian-American friend
Sitting on a granite outcrop halfway up the North Glen Sannox hill
The Doon Coast. Just look at those dykes!
Evidence of a past glacial event
Taking some data on a medium-scale cross-bedding sandstone outcrop.
